The University of Miami has one of the greatest traditions in college football having won five National Championships (’83, ’87, ’89, ’91, and ’01). Under the new leadership of Head Coach Mark Richt, we are building on this legacy starting NOW, by building our Indoor Practice Facility.
The University of Miami strives for excellence in everything that we do. This state-of-the-art facility will benefit all 18 sports and over 430 student-athletes who have had success at the highest level.
University of Miami student-athletes are some of the most remarkable young men and women in the world. They are strong, proud, and passionate … they are true champions.
But champions do far more than just win on the field.
We are deeply proud of each and every student-athlete preparing diligently for next season, practice after practice, rep after rep, and class after class. Once they leave the U, they will be prepared to positively impact their communities for generations to come.
It’s time for us—as a Miami family—to continue our tradition of Building Champions in the classroom, competition, and in life. Let’s honor their hard work by providing the facilities they need to succeed!
"We are constantly raising the bar in the Department of Athletics. If we are going to expect excellence, then we have to strive for it on all fronts. I believe that this Indoor Practice Facility is the most pressing need that we have in our quest to achieve excellence."
"I have seen every facility in our division and many others. And I can confidently say that Miami’s will be the premier facility in the United States ... the best."
"We are a premier program, attracting the very best student-athletes. The lack of an Indoor Practice Facility continues to be an obstacle for our program. It is the missing piece of the puzzle for recruiting. Ultimately, when the facility is complete, it will translate to success on the field."
"An indoor facility would provide a tremendous benefit to our program. In a sport that practices year-round, an indoor facility would be a great asset for our student-athletes to utilize in their preparation for competition. Combined with the obvious advantages from a recruiting standpoint, this facility would push us in our continued ascent towards the top of our sport – both in the ACC and nationally."
"We are the University of Miami. We have Coach Richt; we have the city of Miami. Now we need an indoor facility to give our coaches and student-athletes everything they need to succeed."
